Oyekachi Eze is the Best Graduating Student of NDA 2022.

Nsukka-born Eze Isaac Onyekachi has emerged as the best graduating student of the 69 regular Course (2022) of the Nigeria Defence Academy Kaduna .  This was announced at the course's 32nd convocation ceremony on October 5, 2022, which was attended by top government and military functionaries such as President Muhamadu Buhari, who was the special guest of honour; Vice President Yemi Osibajo (SAN), who was the guest lecturer; and Defence Minister General Magashi (rtd.), among others. Onyekachi, who studied in the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, was named the best graduating student of the 69 courses. He emerged as the best graduating student in the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, best in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and overall best in the Academy. Prince Emeka Mamah to Lead Obi/Datti Campaign in Enugu State

Labour Party has announced Prince Emeka Mamah as the Director-General and Coordinator for the Peter Obi/Datti Baba Ahmed Campaign in Enugu State. His name was among the over 1200 members of the presidential campaign council that were announced on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022.  As the chairman of the campaign council in Enugu State, he will be responsible for strategic formation and leadership aimed towards ensuring that the Labour Party not only wins the presidential election but with a landslide.  He is expected to bring along his grassroots influence and entrepreneurial spirit as the Labour Party aims to defeat the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and the main opposition, the People’s Democratic Party. President Buhari to confer National Awards to Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and four other Nsukka sons and Daughter

On the 11th of October 2022, President Buhari will confer national awards on Governor Ugwuanyi and four other Nsukka sons and daughter. They include Senator Chuka Utazi, the current senator representing Enugu North in the Senate; the former Vice Chancellor of Micheal Okpara University, Umudike; Prof. Hilary Edeoga; Prof. Fabian Ajogwu, the renowned professor of corporate governance and boardroom guru and Ms Josephine Ugwu, a cleaner at the International Wing of Muritala Muhammed Airport, Lagos. The five were among the over four hundred nominees for this year's award , which includes eminent Nigerians and some foreigners who have contributed immensely to the growth of the nation. Some of the nominees for the award include current World Trade Organization DG and former Finance Minister Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who will be awarded the second highest national honour, Grand Commander of the Order of Niger (GCON). Sam Ezugworie joins Seplat as Chief Operating Officer

Samson Chibogwu Ezugworie has been named Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Seplat Energy, the biggest indigenous oil Exploration and Production company in Nigeria. Ezugwuorie joins Seplat with nearly three decades of experience in the oil and gas sector, most of which was spent with oil giant Shell. Samuel joined Dutch giant Shell Petroleum Development Company in 2002 as Opportunity Delivery Leader-Front End Studies and rose to the rank of General Manager Development before his recent appointment to the board of Seplat.  He was previously a director of Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC), Shell Exploration and Production Africa Limited (SEPA), and Shell Nigeria Business Opportunity Limited (SNBO). Prof. James Ogbonna Renowned biotechnology professor James Ogbonna has been named as the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the newly established Enugu State University of Medical and Applied Sciences, Igbo-Ano, Enugu State. According to a release signed by the Secretary to the state government Prof. Simeon Ortuanya , Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi approved the appointment of the former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka as the first chief executive of the specialized university. A Brief History of ESUMAS The history of the Enugu State University began on the 31st of August, 2015 when Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi performed the groundbreaking ceremony for what was to be known as a " 200-bed Specialist Hospital at Orba, Udenu Local Government ". The hospital project was conceptualised to deal with the lack of secondary and tertiary health care facilities in the Enugu North senatorial zone. The first phase of the project was almost complete when the Ifeanyi
